While I often shoot outdoors, and some of my favorite outdoor locations are Adriatica Village, Erwin Park, and Downtown McKinney, my passion for family photography really lies in capturing families in their own home. This session took place in their home, after the birth of their daughter and second child. I had recently posted pictures I took of my own family in simple lounge-at-home clothes, and this is the same look the Lee family wanted to capture for their sweet family session with their new baby.

Family portraits are an investment in preserving your memories, years down the road. Your grown children will look back on these pictures, searching for hints of who you were and what you were like as a person, when they were too little to notice.
In my studio family sessions we focus on really highlighting and showing you and your family members' true personalities.
In my in-home family sessions we highlight your family in your most comfortable environment, capturing true moments and interactions, where they most naturally occur.

This info helps me to learn so much more about you, your preferences, and your vision for your portrait session.
1. Say Hello
Once you've sent your contact form and I have all your info, I'll reach out (likely as soon as I see it) to say Hi and ask any questions I have, to insure I really know what you're looking for.
From there you'll be given available dates and times to select what works best. I'll send you a contract (that's so easy you can sign from your phone with your finger), and I'll take your deposit through your preferred payment method.
Now you're all scheduled!
2. Schedule it
We'll discuss clothing choices, always going back to the vision we have for this session. I'll send outfit tips, recommendations, and examples. You can text me anytime to show me clothing ideas from you closet, online, or in a store.
I'm here every step of the way and we'll keep the communication flowing until we have those outfits just right.
3. Planning it
When it's time for your session, I'll go over my plan for shooting.
For studio sessions, this will include which backdrops we'll use for which photos, who or what we'll photograph, and when.
For in-home family or on-location branding sessions we'll discuss where we'll shoot and what I'll be looking to capture in each environment.
Outdoors I'll find the best light and give tips how to position yourself to get the best glowy light.
4. Your Session
At or before the promised delivery timeframe concludes, you'll receive an online proof gallery where you can see all of the gorgeous images we captured during your session.
If you haven't purchased the full gallery, you'll create a favorites list and include the photos you'd like and I'll send over you final gallery to download in high resolution for sharing.
If your goal is to create artwork for your walls, I'll assist you in selecting the right pieces fin the right sizes, for your intended locations.

The Investment Details
Allison's photos have been by far my favorite for our family. They are beautiful, creative, and capture each person's best features. Not only that but she is also so easy to work with that my kids and husband were in the best moods the whole time. She has captured some of the most wonderful memories for us, from our two dogs in family photos and even taking photos of all nine cousins, aunts, and uncles for my mother-in-law.
